Australia completed a clinical 7-wicket win against Pakistan in the third and final T20I at Bellerive Oval, Hobart, sealing a 3-0 whitewash of the series. The win was based on an outstanding bowling performance by Aaron Hardie and Adam Zampa, followed by a scintillating knock by Marcus Stoinis who took the game away from the Pakistan boys quite easily. This was a dominating show of the Australian men's cricket team that continued their splendidness in the series after winning the first two games.
The Bellerive Oval pitch with its extra bounce and unpredictability played a big part, however, in the collapse of Pakistan. Babar Azam, as ever, was dazzling with elegant strokes through the covers, and along with Sahibzada Farhan, seemed to have a good starting platform in place. Pakistan was actually doing alright, getting to 58/1 after the PowerPlay.
The debutant Haseebullah Khan, promoted in place of Mohammad Rizwan, found it difficult at the start. His innings went from streaky to elegant before being dismissed by Adam Zampa, who triggered the unlikely collapse. Zampa, who has been good all through the tournament so far, picked 2 big wickets, including that of Babar Azam who was bowled for 41 after appearing to be in total control. Aaron Hardie then ravaged the Pakistani middle order to finish with impressive figures of 3-21. Pakistan lost six wickets for just 34 runs, leaving them reeling at 92/7 by the 14th over. If Jahandad Khan and Shaheen Afridi hadn't clobbered some blows, Pakistan's total would have been paltry. They eventually, though, scored 117 all out in 18.1 overs.
The Aussies responded by losing a couple of early wickets, sending back Matt Short and Jake Fraser-McGurk cheaply, both caught up in slower balls by Pakistan's seamers. The target still remained very much in hand as Marcus Stoinis took control of the run chase-one that would later resemble a familiar power-hitting display.
Stoinis, promoted to number 4 in batting. He launched a brutal assault on Pakistan's bowlers, especially Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi. A 22-run over off Rauf and a 25-run over off Afridi peppered all over with fours and sixes, saw that the required run rate never came under any sort of threat. At 61*, Stoinis was unbeaten off just 27 balls as Australia completed the chase in just 11.2 overs, with 52 balls to spare. After all, this was a statement win for the Australian men's cricket team, with Stoinis ending the series on a good note.

The Bellerive Oval Hobart pitch report of the game ahead said that it was a flat wicket with good pace and bounce which played well for batting. Weather conditions in Hobart were clear for the most part and there was no interruption to play. However, it did help the spinners, as Adam Zampa's performance said all for that.
Australia's whitewash of Pakistan in this Aus vs Pak T20 series spells out further cementing Australian dominance in T20 internationals, and with this success guaranteed in perpetuity, they will be confident as they take on their next series.
